Theresa Currier is the founder and breeder behind Königshaus German Shepherds. Theresa began working with dogs in the late 1980’s. Her areas of expertise in the dog world have evolved through kennel technician, veterinary technician, dog groomer and dog trainer. She has spent nearly four decades working with canines in some capacity and is currently competing with and breeding working line German Shepherds. Theresa’s first German Shepherd was a West German show line male, Konig vom Luft Haus. Konig was Theresa’s heart dog and is the man behind the name “Königshaus”. Koni is the only show line German Shepherd that has been a part of the pack but maybe, one day, there will be another.

The working German Shepherds are the focus and passion of Königshaus. We strive to preserve the true working dog who is capable of police and military work. A strong resilient dog, one who has the confidence and power to face any challenge.

We compete in American Schutzhund and IGP with our dogs to better prove their working ability. Theresa is National Director of American Schutzhund and believes the sport is extremely important in preserving our working breeds. She has competed at the highest levels of IGP, AS and PSA. The goal of the Königshaus breeding program is to produce strong dogs who are highly driven to perform tasks with power and determination.
